thefaceof-beau asked: I just ran across your blog... I submitted my supplementary health forms in August and I still haven't heard back in terms of my medical pre clearance... sigh. I've been continuously informed that the entire process can be pretty lengthy so I'm just being patient...

Ahhh okay. Thank you so much!

Well at least the Peace Corps hasn’t totally forgotten about me….

It’s been 2 months.

And I still haven’t heard back from OMS about my medical pre-clearance. I graduate in 3 weeks.

I knew I would need patience in this process but I didn’t think I would need it so soon.

Before i joined PC i thought people were inherently good. after spending two years watching volunteers lie, cheat, steal and manipulate- now i don’t. but i also learned the concept of unconditional love from my 70 year-old, conservative, polygamous, evangelical priest, host father; something i never learned from my biological father.

Was briefly in the hospital today for what turned out to be nothing more than dehydration and tension headaches. Was discharged after a few hours. Wonder how this will affect my medical pre-clearance…..

jng6gk asked: Hey! I also submitted my health forms a month ago (mid september) and I haven't heard anything yet :) So I'm guessing they are just focusing on getting people cleared who are leaving before us. I'm taking no news as good news at the moment :)

Ahh okay! That’s good. I guess I’ll just be patient. Thank you! :)

thetravelingthickchick asked: Hey! concerning the PC medical. don't sweat it quite yet . I turned mine in August and didn't get pre-clearance until the beginning of October. and depending on when your nominated to leave you might not hear anything for a while. You can always email, but lets be real those lovely PC office folks are shit at responding to emails and calls. Hell I emailed my recruiter weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. If your patient, time really does fly by. Be cool

Ahhh okay. Thank you so much! This really helps me out because I’ve been freaking out. I really appreciate it. :)

It’s been about a month

Since I’ve handed in my forms and I haven’t heard anything from OMS. It’s driving me crazy. Maybe I’ll send them a message asking for an update? Is that a good idea or do they hate being bothered?
